Jacques and Lysielle Cariot opened Bleu Provence, French restaurant, as a labor of love in 1999 after retiring to Naples, Florida, from Provence, France. The couple considers their patrons more as welcome guests than customers.Bleu Provence is home to Old World-style European hospitality, reflected in the wine selection and menu, as well as in the level of service and quality of the cuisine.
The servers are well versed in the menu, and are happy to discuss selections with you and accommodate special requests based upon availability. Lunch offers an array of lighter fares, many excellent sandwiches, salads, featured soups, as well as organic and healthy options, something I truly appreciate. On a recent visit, I added a perfectly seared fillet of organic Salmon to a salad of sautéed eggplant (think Ratatouille) with mixed greens, avocado, and mango. It was like the Mediterranean meets South Florida–classical and tropical, fun, fresh, light, and flavorful, perfect for summer! Jacques gladly will make wine suggestions based upon your meal. Traveling to different wineries around the world each year, Jacques returns with the best possible wine selection and the history of each one to share with interested patrons. The Cave is home to more than 20,000 bottles, representing more than 1,700 different wines, including some great finds that are surprisingly inexpensive. Bleu Provence was recently awarded the Wine Spectator Grand Award (one of only four establishments in Florida–all are Golden Palate Partners, including The Breakers/HMF (Palm Beach), Marcello’s La Sirena (West Palm Beach), and Bern’s Steakhouse (Tampa).
Jacques and Lysielle take pride in selecting the ingredients for the restaurant’s menu. Fresh fruits and vegetables are delivered daily from local sources, and Jacques and Lysielle sample meats, cheeses, olives, herbs, mushrooms, and a host of other ingredients from every source available to find and procure the finest quality. Chef Lysielle is a master, combining all of it to create the most beautiful and delicious dishes available.
Dinner at Bleu Provence is more classical French, with items like succulent lamb chops and escargot, among countless other favorites! Please tell Jacques and Lysielle that Fred Bollaci sent you and Bon Appetit!
