Prime- An American Restaurant and Bar, Stamford: Prime Steaks, Fresh Seafood, & Sushi in an Elegant Waterfront Setting in Stamford, CT, sib of Prime, Huntington, LI, NY!

Enjoy lovely waterfront dining with spectacular seafood, Prime Steak, fabulous sushi, and an impressive wine and cocktail program! Prime Stamford is definitely the address to impress on the Connecticut coast in Fairfield County!

Owned by the Bohlsen Restaurant Group, based in Islip, Long Island, NY, Prime – An American Kitchen and Bar, Stamford, opened in the summer of 2016. The waterfront Stamford location is almost a mirror image of its beautiful and renowned sister restaurant that resides across Long Island Sound in a spectacular waterfront location in Huntington, New York.

Tempered glass walls allow a full view of the water from nearly any seat in the house and stay open when the weather allows. Explore our illuminated glass wine room, visible from the both inside and outside the building. With over 750 labels, the floor to ceiling enclosure has separate temperatures for white and red wines. Every Wednesday, enjoy Wednesday Night Wine Dinners. Defined by both innovative departures and classic dishes, Prime offers a curated raw bar, world-class sushi and USDA Prime 21-day dry aged beef paired with enhancements as well as classic steakhouse side dishes and fantastic modern creations. There is no skipping dessert either, with layered s’more’s or movie theater sundaes on the menu (do an extra lap if you must)!

In warmer weather, sit outside along the deck watching the boats come in with one of our inventive signature cocktails. This spring look for a newly renovated outdoor cabana bar.

The Bohlsen Restaurant Group is first and foremost a family before it is a restaurant group. Inheriting the helm from previous generations, Michael and Kurt Bohlsen uphold the family traditions of mixing the essential ingredients to any successful restaurant enterprise: service, style, cuisine and a little fun along the way.

By focusing on quality, BRG hopes to inspire today’s discerning diners and future generations at Bohlsen Restaurants. We aim to enrich the lives of those who choose to dine with us, our valued and loyal staff and the communities in which we work.

BRG currently owns nine of Long Island’s most well known dining establishments. These include Gold Coast harbor-front Prime – An American Kitchen and Bar in Huntington, New York and Stamford, Connecticut; Harbor Club at Prime in Huntington; the vibrant H2O – Seafood & Sushi in Smithtown and East Islip; Monsoon – Asian Kitchen and Lounge in Babylon Village; Tellers – An American Chophouse, Verace – True Italian and Pizza Parm in the heart of Islip.

BRG’s mission statement is “We believe the greatest factor in the success of our business is the quality of our people. We are nothing better than our people. In each of our restaurants, we work hard to sustain our culture of excellence delivered with caring hospitality, which is consistently enriched by our many outstanding employees.”

I’ve had the pleasure of dining in a majority of BRG’s restaurants over the course of two decades, being a native Long Islander who returns to visit often. The group of restaurants are a personal favorite and top choice among my family and friends in the area. Prime will be a much-welcomed addition to Stamford’s waterfront!
