Owned by The Gasparilla Inn, and affectionately known as “The Pink,” Inn guests, island residents, and visitors enjoy dining at Boca Grande’s premier eating and drinking establishment, a charming and casual restaurant for great food, signature drinks and refined service, which has welcomed guests for over 60 years. Executive Chef/Manager Rob Plesh’s enticing lunch and dinner menus focus on innovative regional cuisine, seafood and steaks. Situated along the Boca Grande Bayou, the restaurant is located across the street from The Inn and features an upstairs dining room, downstairs pub and outdoor patio.
The Pink Elephant is open year round and serves lunch and dinner daily during winter season. In the fall and spring seasons, The Pink serves dinner nightly and lunch on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, only. On a recent visit, the menu, which changes periodically featured some of the following favorites: Chilled Shrimp Cocktail, Classic French Onion Soup with caramelized onions and Gruyere, Island Jerk Wings, Oysters on Ice with Citrus-Ginger Mignonette, The Pink’s House Salad with Baby Arugula, Mixed Greens, Kalamata Olives, Cucumbers, Parmesan Cheese, Aged Balsamic Dressing, with the option to add Seared Rare Tuna, Grilled Chicken, or Garlic Shrimp, Asian Vegetable Cashew Salad with Asian Pear and Napa Cabbage, Bok Choy, Wasabi Peas, Carrots, Red Peppers, Cilantro, Spicy Cashew-Peanut Dressing, with the option of adding Seared Rare Tuna, Garlic Shrimp, or Seared Tofu, Traditional Caesar Salad, Harissa Spiced Black Grouper Tacos, Classic BLT, Burgers, a Lamb Burger, Tuna Sashimi with Ginger-Citrus Cumin Broth, and Pickled Mango Slaw, Mussel Pot of PEI Mussels, Roasted Baby Beets with Oregon “Smokey” Blue Cheese, Pan Roasted Chilean Sea Bass, Fisherman’s Stew with PEI Mussels, Shrimp, and Swordfish in a saffron-tomato broth, Roasted Ashley Farm’s Chicken with mashed potatoes and asparagus with Madeira Jus, Veal Schnitzel topped with salad, as well as steaks, and sandwiches.
The Dining Room at The Inn:
The Inn’s signature restaurant features classic, elegant fare in a timeless, tropical, elegant setting with white glove service, where ladies and gentlemen dress to dine in style.
The Dining Room serves breakfast and dinner, featuring fresh and natural ingredients, presented impeccably by a cordial and knowledgeable staff that is dedicated to make each and every dining experience memorable. Breakfast and dinner are served daily in The Inn’s Dining Room during the social (winter) season. During the fall and spring seasons, breakfast is served daily. Please check with dining reservations for weekly dinner availability in the Fall and Spring seasons.
Dinner is a four-course, traditional heritage experience dinner from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Reservations are required. The inn recently received the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence. The Inn’s Dining Room is open to the public and our Inn guests for breakfast and dinner. Jackets are required for gentlemen at dinner during Season.
Breakfast include traditional favorites, as well as a buffet on select days (please inquire). A recent dinner menu featured the following: Maine Lobster Salad with avocado, mango, and coconut cream, Roasted local beets, Roasted Butternut Squash Soup, Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail, Oxtail Ravioli, Herb-Roasted Free Range Chicken, Rosemary Grilled Lamb Chops, Grilled Veal Porterhouse, and Grilled Atlantic Swordfish, among other favorites.
