Announcing 10 New Golden Palate® Wineries on Old Mission Peninsula in Traverse City, Michigan!

After a wonderful week in Northern Michigan touring the wineries of the Old Mission Peninsula near Traverse City, I am pleased to announce the newest Golden Palate wineries in Michigan on the Old Mission Peninsula. As a sommelier and wine connoisseur, I like to pick destinations that combine my passion for excellent, fresh, local, seasonal cuisine and locally produced wines. This area of Northern Michigan has an outstanding food and beverage scene (many breweries and distilleries in addition to great wineries), and I expect it will only continue to improve and gain recognition! I highly recommend visiting this area now before the word really gets out! As a native New Yorker just beginning to enjoy the best of the Midwest, I liken it to the excellent food and wine scene on Long Island’s picturesque North Fork, the only difference is the roads in the Traverse City wine regions of Old Mission and Leelanau Peninsulas are not jammed with cars. I am thrilled to announce Ten excellent wineries as my newest Golden Palate Wineries in Michigan, each with their own unique style and setting invite guests to enjoy this idyllic 19-mile long peninsula wine trail and enjoy some excellent local wines, as well as beaches, restaurants, and more! The Traverse City area and Old Mission and Leelanau Peninsulas are home to great food, pristine beaches with beautiful, clean water, and excellent wine! This is a new “hotbed” for food and wine tourism, and a wonderful area for a romantic, gourmet getaway, as well as fun for the entire family!
