I love the expression,”God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference.”
It has been a tough journey but for someone who always knew what the best was, I really did not fully enjoy or appreciate my life or my surroundings and I continued to seek to over fill myself on external things like too much food to try to compensate for a lack of inner peace.
Today I finally know what inner peace is. I am comfortable and confident in my skin and in my place in the world. I have what I need. I am what I need. What I don’t yet have I don’t yet need. I have found myself and can finally sit back and savor how far I’ve come and appreciate all that life has to offer and look at my glass as being more than half full, not partially empty.
Inner peace comes from a total acceptance and surrender when we cease trying to change the world around us and we stop looking outside of ourselves or over the fence or rainbow to find something we feel is missing within ourselves and we realize that everything we ever needed was within us all along we just didn’t realize it.
Today I am grateful for my journey and for the chance to share my unique way of life with others. It starts with self love and realizing that you deserve the best and you deserve to be happy and healthy and you make up your mind to take back your life and to be your best.
