Fred Bollaci Enjoys VIP Media Visit and Tour of the Beautiful New Resorts World Bimini, Hilton Hotel in The Bahamas

Bimini, the closest of the Bahamas islands to the United States is located just 48 nautical miles east of Miami, Florida. Bimini consists of two islands, North and South. Resorts World Bimini, the new Hilton hotel at Resorts World, and the exclusive Rockwell Island luxury oceanfront residences at Resorts World is located on the north end of North Bimini. Visitors come to Bimini for its phenomenally clear turquoise waters and its abundant and varied marine life. It is also considered the sport fishing capital of the world.

Bimini has a rich and varied history, from being an important base for U.S rum-running operations during Prohibition to hosting Ernest Hemingway a few years later, who helped popularize Bimini as a place for legendary deep-sea fishing. “Bimini Road” was also discovered off the northwest coast of Bimini, consisting of a half mile long series of flat-lying slabs, some call the Lost Steps of Atlantis.

As a leading international authority on “la dolce vita” healthy-gourmet living and luxury travel, Fred Bollaci was invited this week to visit the new Hilton at Resorts World Bimini, and tour the exciting new Rockwell Island Bimini development of luxury oceanfront residences at Resorts World Bimini, considered the finest residential development in the Caribbean. Having enjoyed the visit immensely, the Hilton at Resorts World, which features a great variety of excellent cuisine and professional, courteous service and amenities sure to please the most discerning traveler, Fred Bollaci has awarded the Golden Palate Certificate of Excellence® to the Hilton at Resorts World, and will be writing a feature on the property on this site!

The Hilton hotel features several restaurants, including The Tides (breakfast and gourmet dinners overlooking the marina), Hemingway’s, a casual eatery in the casino, and an excellent sushi bar in the lobby. Sabor serves casual island fare near the large lagoon-style pool adjacent to the marina. There is also a swim-up bar in the “lazy river” pool, a beach club with food and cocktails, and a bar overlooking the beach where guests can enjoy a variety of water sports.

Bimini boasts miles of beautiful beaches and water for exploring on foot, by boat, or by swing! Popular activities for visitors include charter fishing, the Bimini Shark Lab, snorkeling, Bimini Undersea, the South Bimini Nature Trail, and exploring the villages of Alice Town and Bailey Town on North Bimini and enjoying local seafood.

No visit to Bimini would be complete without a stop at Stuart’s Conch Salad Stand. I asked several locals where to go, and it was unanimous. It doesn’t get any fresher. Enjoy with an ice cold Kalik overlooking the water!

The pristine waters of Bimini are perfect for water sports, including paddle boarding. Jet skis and boards are available at the beach club at Resorts World.

The crown jewel of the Resorts World development is the exclusive Rockwell Island in North Bimini. These exclusive oceanfront residences whose backyards are the beach also have docks in their front yards, and have access to all the amenities of Resorts World and the new Hilton hotel. Plans include a golf course and an ultra-luxe boutique hotel as part of this $600 million project!
