Fred Bollaci’s Healthy Gourmet “Appetite” Column Debuts In VENU MAGAZINE

VENU_Spring2015Cover_052215Fred Bollaci, international authority on healthy gourmet living, and president and CEO of Fred Bollaci Enterprises, debuts his inaugural “Golden Palate” “Appetite” column in the Spring issue of VENU Arts and Culture magazine (view article), it was announced today.

“I am honored and thrilled to be part of such a prestigious publication,” said Bollaci. “VENU’s affluent, sophisticated audience is a logical fit for my healthy gourmet lifestyle concept. I look forward to sharing “Appetizers” from my soon to be published memoir, “The Golden Palate Diet™ and Lifestyle” and to sparking a conversation about how to lose weight and maintain a healthy lifestyle without giving up on quality, flavor, or dining in favorite restaurants.”

Bollaci lost 150 pounds five years ago and has maintained his weight loss by enjoying his “La Dolce Vita” lifestyle, dining across America, in Italy, and other gourmet hot spots around the world. Bollaci has learned to enjoy his favorite foods in moderation, to shop, cook, eat, and dine smart, including making exercise an integral part of each day.

Bollaci’s memoir will feature recipes from over 80 leading restaurants in top markets across the country, which are among Bollaci’s 200 Golden Palate™ Partners. Chef|owners of these partner restaurants exemplify Bollaci’s commitment to quality, freshness, and healthy lighter options for calorie conscious diners.

“Not every restaurant makes the cut,” Bollaci said. “It goes beyond the star and diamond awards. I look for destinations with hands-on owners, chefs, and staff, people who truly care about their customers and their well-being, who are eager to accommodate and please. These people are committed to their customers’ health and enjoyment which will help to ensure that they will remain patrons for years to come.”

Bollaci’s inaugural “Appetite” column features #1 Chef in Vermont, Amy Chamberlain, chef|owner of The Perfect Wife Restaurant & Tavern in Manchester, Vermont, also recently named Fred Bollaci Enterprises inaugural 2015 Charter Members. Chamberlain has headlined Fred Bollaci Enterprises’ new Charter Chefs column, been featured in news items, and on social media platforms, demonstrating her unique brand of fresh, locally inspired healthy gourmet cuisine, she calls “freestyle cooking.”

Bollaci’s visited The Perfect Wife Restaurant and Tavern for the first time last summer and he was instantly impressed by Chamberlain’s unique menu, commitment to freshness, and “farm-to-fork” regional and seasonal cuisine, as well as with Chamberlain herself.

“Chef Amy is a dedicated, hands-on professional who goes the extra mile to get to know her customers. She has developed a menu that includes many exciting dishes that will surely please every palate,” Bollaci said. “Signature dishes like her Vegan “Howling Wolf Special,” her Seared Tuna in Secret Asian Sauce, and the “Meatless” meatballs are all delicious, healthy gourmet options. The Perfect Wife Restaurant and Tavern is a perfect place to enjoy an exceptional meal in Vermont,” Bollaci said.

According to Bollaci, “I will be showcasing additional Fred Bollaci Enterprises Golden Palate™ Partners and Charter Members in upcoming issues of VENU.” The Summer issue will showcase the prestigious Toscana Saporita Culinary School in Tuscany that Bollaci attended last Fall. Toscana Saporita, owned by renowned Tuscan Chef Sandra Lotti, is a Fred Bollaci Enterprises inaugural Charter Member in Italy, and was recently named among the first 75 Golden Palate™ Italia award recipients.

“Stay tuned, your taste buds are in for a real treat!”
