Fred Bollaci, author of “The Restaurant Diet” completed a whirlwind tour of Long Island, where he grew up this past week, signing books at many wonderful venues.
The week included scheduled events on Wednesday July 18th at La Bussola in Glen Cove, Thursday July 19th at La Ginestra in Glen Cove, The Golden Pear Cafe in Bridgehampton during lunch on Saturday July 21st, and at The American Hotel in Sag Harbor during Sunday Brunch on July 22nd.
Pop-up (non-scheduled) events included: Red Salt Room by David Burke at The Garden City Hotel, Ben’s Kosher Deli in Greenvale, 75 Main and Tutto il Giorno in Southampton, Sant’Ambroeus in Southampton, Ruschmeyer’s, and Scarpetta Beach at Gurney’s Resort and Seawater Spa, both in Montauk.
“I enjoyed meeting some wonderful people in my travels across Long Island, and look forward to getting back soon. The mix of well-publicized events and spontaneous “pop-up” events in places where I am dining and always open to meeting people and sharing my story has been a winning formula,” Bollaci said. “I even sold books on the plane headed back to Florida!”

With Keith E. Davis, founder of The Golden Pear, and Deborah Burns of Burns Communications, Southport, CT at The Golden Pear in Bridgehampton.

With Carlo and Marco Lubrano, owners of La Bussola, Harold Bollaci, Esq., and Neal Siegal at La Bussola in Glen Cove.
